1. Maybe show a tutorial by default on the first try. I think the question mark was hard to notice.
Do you have any recommendations on the way we'll do this? I was simply thinking we should just show it on the first launch on the armory scene.
2. Add a pause button
Don't you think that the armory scene partly acts for that? It's not a pause screen per se, but it does pause the game.
3. I think this is a glitch. When you touch the score while playing the game, it takes you to a tutorial. At first, I thought this was a pause button, but it doesn't actually pause the game.
Actually, that's where you upgrade your weapons when you get a weapon point (the blue special item). I think we might need some tutorial to introduce the weapons/special itmes. That might possibly clear up those issues.
4. On the game over screen, you should make the "Tap here to continue" button more visible. Maybe put a graphic around it.
Great idea! We originally thought that the text really blended in with the game over screen, but apparently it just makes it harder to press and not so visible. We'll be including this in BETA 2.
@rogerchiu I have to agree that the controls are hard to use. And the game crashed after I finished playing.
Great! If you have any issues installing Alienz, just let us know. We tried to iron out all those issues by making the installation thread a sticky and providing some feedback if it doesn't work for you.
@PointOfLight I thought I had escaped this addiction when I stopped using my PocketPC Of course I love this game, but then that was pretty much a given. So far pretty much so good, except for the following two things...
I'm with you on that! I thought I escaped from it too after selling my X51v but apparently that didn't work out too well. Glad you like the game!
1. Navigation is a bit difficult in places. I assume you're supposed to tap the earth point counter in order to get to the Armory, but it's hard to tap. I keep inadvertently wasting my Smart Bombs! Also, I had to hit the Tap To Continue 2 or 3 times on Game Over to get back to the menu.
You could always tap in the space to the right of the stat bar. We could possibly remove the feature of deploying the smartbombs from the statbar, but of course, they could always tap the Earth too. Ohh, don't worry about the "Tap To Continue" button on the game over screen. We're replacing that with a real button in BETA 2. Gotta thank Jeff for that suggestion. I agree it is a bit hard to touch because it's so small. Hopefully this'll fix that.
2. Either it was a fluke or there is an issue with Earth Point accumulation. After finding two Earth Points, the counter said I only had one. I got to the Armory, where it said I only had one point. I used that point, but when I went back to the main screen it still said I had an Earth Point, which should have been correct because I should have had 2 to start with. Going back in the Armory Screen, it said I had zero Earth Points.
Actually, you should of started with three weapon points. But if you did have two to start off with, did you play a game before that?
I love the creature with the three eyeballs. I hope there will be more wacky aliens as we get to lasting longer in the game.
Glad you like our attempt at an Alienz boss! He's the wacky one; that's for sure. We don't have too many alien types as of now, but I'm hoping that we do add in a bit more. Although don't awe at the boss for too long! He has some big damage he takes from you!

Do you have any recommendations for us to do to make it easier? We could display some more help information about the controls to fix that. Also, we fixed the crashing issues with the game. Those fixes will be in the upcoming BETA 2.
